I raced against my official run in which I crashed and got 27th. This time I went to the mountain northeast of the start and gained about 3200 meters for the start. I ran out of time because I didn’t have the benefit of the usual join time. I really needed another 200 meters to make it to the start with the speed that I needed. In fact I was a few seconds late starting (past the 30 minute start window). With the extra 10 minutes or so of a join time I would have had no problem. Anyway I finished in 58:57 which would have put me in 6th place.
