All of my blogs are now consolidated on wordpress.com. I used two different hosting services for quite a few years. I finally decided that the free WordPress site was plenty good enough for publishing.
Although I’m not using my home equipment for publishing my site, it’s interesting to see how my home computer differs from nine years ago. My latest specs are:

I am not a serious blogger. I am a techie who wants to learn how to put together and operate a web site or blog on my own equipment. This blog is currently operating from my home. The host server is a Dell Optiplex GX270 with 2GB of RAM. My ISP is Fairpoint Communication Services. My service is DSL with an approximate download of 3Gb/sec and upload of 768Mb/sec.
My OS is XP SP3 and I am using Apache Web Server 2.2 and MySQL.
