Waiting for Hottop to cool

I’m just killing time at the moment. I was about to roast some Ethiopia Worka DP and started preheating the roaster before getting the beans ready. I shut off the machine and restarted but had heated up over 300°F. The Hottop won’t start a roast until the internal temp probe reads below 163°F. If you start a roast before that, the fan will come on and it won’t start the roast until the temp drops. This is silly and I wish there was a way to change this set point because few people drop in their beans until at least 300°F.
