I just discovered a new utility for X-Plane which works specifically with the Ramzzess Boeing 777. It’s called EFASS. It is a flight planner and integrates with X-Plane. I’m still learning how to use it.

  1. I’ve been using this application for several months now and it has improved a bit. While it was free in the beginning, a couple of months ago they started timing you out after a few mintues which made it impractical so I paid $35 for it, which is pretty steep but maybe sort of worth it.

As a planning tool it works quite well. It also provides a moving map and displays IVAO or VATSIM activity. A problem I’m having though is that EFASS can really slow down X-Plane to the point where it becomes unrealistic. Because of this I started using it more as a planning tool even though it supplies an excellent moving map, far superior to using map view in X-Plane.
