Hahnweide Challenge 2011—Day 4

I’m in first place!  I believe that this is my second win in a Condor race.  I’ve had several second places finishes including two for this challenge already!  I’m also second overall for this challenge.

This thermal race was characterized by a “normal” distribution of thermals, most of which didn’t reach dew point altitude, thus there were precious few visual indications of where the thermals were!  At one point near TP2 I was down to about 300m AGL.  There was a cloud not to far ahead which may, or may not have been low enough to catch.  Fortunately I hit a blue thermal which I rode to almost final glide altitude.
