Back to ScribeFire, a firefox blog editor

Back to ScribeFire a Firefox blog editor.
I went into google reader, an account that I’ve had for a long time but always forget about and rarely look at.  In there was a subscription to Kor’s Journal, my google blog (which I should get rid of!).  I scanned through some old entries and noticed that, at a time in the distant past, I had installed and used a blogging tool called FireScribe.  I decided to try it again and I’m using it to type this post.  While in Firefox, you tap and ScribeFire pops up in the lower half (adjustable) of your browser screen.  It was an easy matter to configure it for use with .  I only needed to type my username and password and the wizard did the rest.  And this is unbelievable–I no longer have to upload images that I want to include in a post; I just copy and paste in the edit window in ScribeFire!  This will be revolutionary!  Below is an image that I just pasted of the edit window I’m using.  And, by the way, I’ve been using a built-in Windows 7 tool called snippit a great deal recently.  When assigned to a hot key, it is a very convenient tool for grabbing an image in any part of windows and pasting it into, Evernote, a Word document, an email, and now in ScribeFire.  If you want to do something more sophisticated and automatically save your screen capture, then by all means, use Snagit, which is a fantastic tool.  But for simple stuff, snippit is a good tool that avoids all the resource overhead of Snagit.  More text.

Well I seem to have been wrong.  I tried to paste an image and then publish it but it didn’t work until I saved the image, pointed to it and then published.  Too bad–I’m not sure that is any better than inserting the image from the blog administrator!
